Passion Music continues English virtuoso Will Todd’s successful fusion of jazz and choral music. The work highlights different aspects of the Passion story — the final hours in the life of Jesus Christ.
The piece makes full use of the composer’s understanding of beautiful melodies combined with traditional Biblical scriptures — creating an exciting, soulful, and spellbinding experience.
The world premiere of “O Magnum Mysterium” by Will Todd (commissioned by BVC and UHSC) will also be presented. The evening includes a gospel soloist, seven-piece jazz ensemble, plus Mr. Todd himself, as guest composer!
