Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster and share the art of choral music, as well as serve the Brandywine Valley community, through the pursuit of musical excellence in a wide variety of repertoire and performance opportunities.
Brandywine Valley Chorale was founded in June 2007 by a group of local area musicians, arts supporters, and friends. The BVC was created to add the art and beauty of choral music to the fine arts repertoire that is available in the Brandywine Valley region.
Today, over 70 auditioned members strong, this fine group of men and women perform semi-annually throughout the lovely Brandywine Valley, including Unionville, West Chester, Kennett Square, and Wilmington.
The Chorale is a mixed ensemble performing choral works composed for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass (SATB) vocal ranges. The organization consists of individuals ages 18 and older who share a commitment to excellence, a passion for music, and a desire to serve their community.
The BVC is fortunate to have the wonderful and growing support of area businesses, organizations, and individuals who make our expression of choral art possible. Just as our Brandywine Valley Region is rooted in rich beauty and culture, the Chorale reflects its surroundings by performing fine music and building our area’s tradition as an exceptional center for performing arts.
Over the course of its history, for numerous concerts, Brandywine Valley Chorale has been joined by neighboring choral groups, guest soloists, and instrumentalists.
Our mission is to foster and share the art of choral music, as well as serve the Brandywine Valley community, through the pursuit of musical excellence in a wide variety of repertoire and performance opportunities.
